Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

Excellent service--a friend and I chose this restaurant as our destination for drinks and a light dinner. We sat in the bar area, where our server recommended drinks & provided a dinner menu. The food was good, but the drinks were outstanding.

Stopped by Cheesecake Bistro for lunch while killing some time at the Boardwalk today. I'm in Shreveport on business so I dined alone, and the hostess gave me a very pitying look when I said I needed a table for one. I was not super hungry or craving anything in particular, so I just ordered a Cheeseburger and french fries. It took a long time to get my food, as in 25 minutes or so for a cheeseburger. When it arrived, it looked pretty good. A juicy hamburger on a big Brioche bun with shredded cheddar melted on top. But...there were the condiments. A small mountain of mayonnaise, ketchup and mustard all glopped together on the inner top bun. Even scramping most of it off, it created a puddle on nearly half my plate. When I took a bite of the burger, I noticed that the bun had also been buttered much to liberally, so all I could taste at that point was butter and ketchup. I put the burger down and decided to go for the fries. They were greasy, and there were quite a few onion strings thrown in (not that I minded, but someone who hates onions or is allergic definitely would mind). Overall, very unimpressive. Granted, I did not have any of the signature dishes on the menu, but judging how they managed to over-complicate a simple cheeseburger, I'm not willing to chance it.

One word-----Overpriced! The food is mediocre at best and the serving of cheesecake could feed a small village, cut the size and the price. We ordered the crab and crawfish bake-cold and tasteless. I ordered the jambalaya pasta--again not much taste and on the cold side. My friends ordered the crawfish ravioli-nothing to write home about. I would not dine here again. Service was decent, ambiance is nice.

They have the best cheesecake! Nuff said!! Oh yeah, and the foold is great also. Make sure to bring a big appetite because the servings are huge!

This was probably one of the most awful experiences I have ever had at a restaurant. The drinks and waitress were good, but that is it. The food took what felt like eternity. We all ordered 4 different wraps. One was decent, there were issues with every other one. One had to be sent back, and took a good 20 minutes to be remade. The manager, Brad, came out to talk to us - this just made things worse. He literally had an excuse for every single thing we said to him. It was ridiculous. Not once did he apologize or ask what he could do to make it right. I have never in my life been treated so rudely in a service setting. He did not offer to take any of the uneaten food off of our bill. He told us he took 10% off for our trouble (the Boardwalk gives out a coupon book and there is a coupon for 10% off that we were going to use anyways). We payed the $80 bill and just wanted to get out of there. We asked for the general manager and he was truly embarrassed at how badly the situation was handled. I do feel that he is going to address it, but regardless, we will not ever go back.

This isn't "basically" a knockoff of the Cheesecake Factory, this is the most unbelievable knockoff of another restaurant i've ever seen!! They must have just went to a cheesecake factory with a video camera and came back and told the contractor to build the same thing...haha. With that said, this is the BEST knockoff ever! Normally knockoff's tend to be crap and not worth a thing but Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro is actually pretty good. The menu has plenty of options, not as many as a real cheesecake factory but more than anywhere else in town. Everything on the menu looks pretty good. So far i've basically just got the Sashimi Tuna Salad, which by the way is perfect. It has a wasabi vinagrette dressing on it that is light and has more kick than the pure wasabi at Sushiko down the row! I've been looking for something down here that wasn't deep fried, loaded with sugar or large enough to feed an entire village and this salad hits the spot perfectly. The service has been really good both times and I've never had any trouble getting a table. The bar looks pretty cool, probably a great spot to come get dinner before or after a movie and have a couple drinks. So if you can forgive them for totally copying the crap out of another company Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro is a great spot to eat.

I went today for lunch and it was pretty good! I had the lump crab-shrimp-avocado salad. The salad was good - and huge! I didn't realize the lump crabmeat was fried, but they quickly replaced it with regular lump crabmeat.

The Cheesecake is GREAT!! But the food for the price you pay for it leaves something to be desired. Loved the Flautas and the different Cheesecakes, but that was about it.

Killer New Orleans Iced Tea's. Pricey drinks. But worth it. Good cheeseburger. Really cool frozen Ice bar.

This place is basically LA's version of the Cheesecake Factory. I ate here while out of town on business and my coworkers wandered over to the boardwalk. I am giving it 4 stars relative to the other food we tried in the Shreveport/Bossier City area and concluding that the food their sucks. I tried a crawfish ravioli dish which was actually really tasty. Then to wrap it up I had a giant slice of strawberry cheesecake which was really really awesome. I think this is a good place for out-of-towners who want a lot of choices on their menu and really good dessert. I could definitely have eaten there more than once in a work week.

We ate at this exact restaurant last year at this time and ordered the exact same thing. Last year it was wonderful. The service was perfect. The food was plentiful; we brought home leftovers, and it was delicious and a wonderful experience. This year, our waiter ignored us, and we had to buy snacks to take back to the hotel room because there were no leftovers, and we decided to have dessert somewhere else. The restaurant was more crowded last year, so no excuse for rude service. Tonight when our waiter brought our appetizer, our drinks were empty. We ate our entire hot appetizer and watched three tables get drink refills when we did not. Then as the waiter passed us he said that he had been looking for the tea, and would come back as soon as he found it. What a disappointing meal.

We waited 20 minutes for a two top at 7:45 on a Thursday night. Once we ordered it took nearly 40 minutes for the main course to arrive. Campeche seafood salad was palatable but microscopic. Tacos needed improvement: the single tortillas on each were dried out around the edges and soggy in the middle. The red cabbage was very dry. The taste was decent nonetheless. The fish was rubbery and the crabmeat (which was supposed to have been in a wine sauce) was covered in oil. Waitstaff are hanging out. Our guess is that the kitchen is understaffed. This experience was not in keeping with the usually high quality of the Copeland's brand.

Oh boy.... This place is a mess. The service was horrible. My waitress never heard of Abita Amber...yet they had it on draft. Drinks came out 10 minutes at a time. It took 30 minutes to get our entrees. The food was okay, but my girlfriend ordered the fried chicken and that's exactly what she got. No sides what so ever. Just fried chicken bits for $15. We laughed it off, but that's what Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro is...a JOKE.

  • Mike A.

It's a big knock off of the Cheesecake Factory, but they fall far short. We came here for lunch and waited 40 min to get 2 wraps and a salad! Once the food arrived, the wrap plates were covered with onion strings (me) and sweet potato fries for my co-worker. The wraps themselves, both different takes on chicken; lacked a key ingredient: CHICKEN! I kid you not, maybe each wrap had half a chicken breast thinly sliced? To cover this mess, they drenched both in sauces that drenched up, over and out of the wraps. It was a nasty mess. A few weeks ago we dinner ate at the other location and it was also pretty bad.

BAR: Great for happy hour and the bartenders are friendly. Apps are ok FOOd: um no............ to saucy, greesy, soggy, wilted, fried

nice restaurant fast friendly service classic new orleans decor. food was good but they should include a bread item with pasta dishes had to pay extra for a side of bread. i agree with chris s. the booth for two is awkwardly postioned facing all the other diners so when you look up you are looking at other diners. will get a better table next time. wife loved the cheesecake selection.

  • Bethany S.

Had a very good lunch here but the wait was a bit long. Food came out a little slow so the manager offered a free app or salad without us having to ask or complain. My husband and I both ordered a pasta bowl both of which had good flavor and were cooked well - no mushy pasta here. We also ordered cheesecake which was creamy and filling! If this place gets busy just be ready for a wait but I'd say its worth it.

Terrible! Wow! How can such a nice looking restaurant have such terrible food? The service was subpar (no silverware at table, not much attentiveness) but the food........ Well, 4 out of 5 meals were COLD. Not warm, maybe lukewarm if I'm generous and when soup is one of those meals???? Not to mention a meat?? Food poisoning city waiting to happen. Steer clear folks! The meatloaf was so salty it was nearly inedible. Go to Fuddruckers or a different restaurant, but save your health and money, go somewhere else!!!

We inadvertently stumbled up Copelands while wandering around the boardwalk. What a great/pleasant surprise. Happy hour drinks are all hand crafted and very reasobably priced. They also had awesome apetizers that were 50% off - very tasty. The entree we ordered was the Crawfish Raviolli - damn awesome meal. Huge portion and amazingly rich. It'll be difficult to try something different next time. We didnt order any desert but they looked amazing. Awesome food and drinks at a very reasonable price. Looking forward to returnjng next time Im in Bossier City. BTW Copelands is an easy walk from the Margaritaville Casino and the Horseshoe or a 5 minute taxi ride from all others

We ordered cheesecake, entrees and got a couple of drinks. Overall serve was pretty good. We sat in the bar area and was treated well. Drinks came out fast, entrees came out at a reasonable time and desert was good. Overall decent place.

This was my third visit to this restaurant. First was no better than this... If it takes 30 minutes with a reservation, how long would it be without? Pathetic service at best...extremely slow and paid no attention to us when trying to get Ashley's attention to refill empty drinks etc. They lost money on drinks and she lost on the tip. And last but not least, my onion soup was cold and my burger wrap was the same when it FINALLY arrived. My son's food was mediocre as well. I've tried this place now 3 times and WON'T return! I prefer the menu, but would rather eat at one of the Landry's restaurants in the center or Hooters..at least you get "warm" food with pleasant service! I normally tip 25%+ for good service...I left under 15% here and shouldn't have left that much. I will NOT return!!! Sad, because it could/should be much better. Al Copeland would not be happy with the product they put out and the service rendered that night! Sorry guys....just fact!

The Service was Great !! The Food Quality was just "Non Existent" !!! At Taco Bell they would not serve BLACK Guacamole to customers, however at Copeland's that is what they did. The pico de gallo was apparently from a few days before and the tomatoes were mushy. The Spanish rice was without any Spanish flavor or flavor what so ever. Once asked to get something fresh to replace the bad food they just brought out, it was replace with the same bad food. Very disappointing experience that will keep me from returning in the future! Me and My Significant Other !!

Great place! 2nd best meal I had in LA! Great bar, started with drinks waiting for our table. Very clean and stylish, the dining area was very nice and the service was top notch. Place was packed and our food and appetizer almost came to fast. The plates were not just tasty but beautifully assembled. We finished our meal of crab cakes and shrimp salad with the white chocolate strawberry cheesecake, just dynamite! Would definitely return again!!!

We have visited several times and to be honest, nothing special about this place. I had the gumbo for maybe the third time and this time was no different. Gumbo was obviously "warmed up" but still not hot and way too thick for my taste. Service was slow and wait staff did not seem engaged....

Quite possibly the worst representation of creole/Cajun food in the entire state of Louisiana!! If Applebee's came up with a concept restaurant for Louisiana...this would be it! Tiny shrimp, horrible presentation and flavorless... The hostess was a complete moron...the chairs at our table looked like they were used in a bar fight and the bathroom smelled like two hobos lived in there with a ferrel cat or 9... I highly suggest you never darken the door of this restaurant.. Taco Bell is more consistent and clean!!

Nice restaurant that was a cool retreat from the summer heat. Ordered the California wraps. Two can share one dish thanks to them being stuffed. Unfortunately mine was supposed to be with fried chicken and avocado. All it really was a ranch salad with chicken, wrapped in two wraps. I'm not sure why you'd need a double layer of wraps. Our server was kind and attentive to us.

The one and only thing I want on the menu..they are out of. French onion soup. Onions broth and cheese. And your telling me you can't whip that up in the kitchen. So I'm sitting here with my family while they eat and nothing for me. What a great vacation. Thanks a lot for nothing.

This is place has a great atmosphere! You can celebrate a big dinner party or enjoy a quite dinner for two. I love there drinks, crash n burn is my favorite. The appetizer carb roll was yummy. My favorite entree is the Cajun fried chicken. It's Popeyes "nawlin style recipe.

Nice environment, clean and contemporary. Had fresh fish with crabmeat for dinner. Overall good, but a tad salty. Extremely slow service. Funny: it is a cheesecake restaurant and it took roughly 30 minutes to get the sampler cheesecake dish we ordered.

  • Elizabeth F.

The hostess was the absolute worst! She was rude and not at all interested in doing her job. Once you get past her though the restaurant is pretty good. The server was super fun and nice. We came in for dessert and were definitely pleased.

Cheesecake Factory with a southern twist. Definitely leaves you wanting to take a nap afterwards, the food is heavy! But delicious. Brings you back to the old adage about how enough butter can make anything amazing. Try the pumpkin pecan cheesecake... Incredible....

  • Ashly M.

We went a few months back. The food was nothing special considering the price. Service was slow. Our waiter was OK, but smelled like cigarette smoke. Just would not recommend. What made the experience terrible was the dessert that had a long hair in it that I discovered in my first bite...We wont ever be going back.

  • Michael T.

Thank you for the crash and burn, never disappoints. Staff are friendly, waitress very attentive. Food is just... meh. Clearly over-costed, slightly under portioned and honestly not worth the asking price. Sucker for husbands bringing their wives and paying 8$ for a slice of cheesecake, seriously, 8$ per slice. Crawfish rolls 85% slaw, 2 crawfish. I ordered the crawfish mac n cheese. Sauce was entirely too runny/watery which made the food have zero flavor, Served with bread, I honestly left hungry. 75$ bill for 2 people, nothing special. I really wish the boardwalk would rotate out restaurants. Cheesecake bistro is fine I suppose just not worth the price for the "experience"

This place is usually a hit or miss but last night's experience was great. The waitress was very attentive and our food was cooked perfectly. If you love Italian food, try the Lasagna Bolagnase. It was delicious!

Pretty underwhelming Cheesecake Factory knock off...unreal how much it looks like a cheese cake factory. Food was not the greatest and desserts were pretty terrible for it to be a dessert restaurant. Service was great. Very clean restaurant, just not very good food.

Can't judge a book from its cover. Looks like a 5 Star restaurant from the outside, and a 2 star Old decor New Orleans in the inside. Pros: - Very tasty desert - Great hostess and waiters Con: -Over-priced (I don't mind paying high for good food, but there was no good food) -Food lacked seasoning (no salt, almost no flavor) -Very awkward seating. (We were sat on booth that faced everyone else. Everyone eating was our view) -Old Fashion decor, not classy or retro, but just old, like its been there for decades) -Looked very depressing, not romantic.

    (2)
  • Jay C.

Always a favorite for a nice dinner date, great atmosphere, good ambience, excellent light works for a more intimate feel, especially if on one of the booths by the kitchen or bar areas. Unless one feels like to engage outside on the balcony with the sports screens. Excellent food taste, good grill, and plenty variety to choose from, with a New Orleans twist that brings north Louisiana a bit closer to down south Cajun lands instead of the Texas feel. But the cheese cakes are delicious! Great drinks! Don't order too much or you won't have space for dessert. More for an adult atmosphere than for kids for sure. Service was overall good, been here plenty of times and only once do I recall having a bad waiter (surely he got fired!).

No blueberry OR cherry topping for my cheesecake! WTH? The tables were situated in a weird way so we couldn't look at each other but had to stare at random. The cheesecake was good but the service was not so great. I probably wouldn't go back.

We have visiting several times over the past few years and it has been steadily going downhill. It seems to me that this is a top-down issue. We went last night and it was not busy at all, there was no one waiting when we walked in and they told us it would be 30 minutes wait. "Ok, no problem. i see it's happy hour in the lounge, we'll go have a drink there while we wait for one more person." so we went and had a drink, it was fine and the bartender told us she was new, but she was fine, she had a good attitude. about 30 minutes go by and we go to the front to see if we can get seated and the girl says "oh i didn't put you on the list because you just walked away and i didnt give you a buzzer" anyway, i wont go into the boring details, but basically her attitude (and then her managers attitude) was that there was no miscomunication like i had tried to politely suggest, but that everything was our fualt because we did not know and follow their proceedures. we were sitting 20 feet from the hostess booth, she might have dropped by to explain the procedures if they were so important, but she couldnt be bothered. the food is decent, but the kitchen was way to slow, we waited for our meal far too long and i watched our order sit under the hotlight for 10 minutes. our waitress seemed nice enough, but i thought she seemed pretty fed up with the whole place. our group had several exchanges with her where her response was one of frustration with the resturant management decisions. for example "we dont have cappachino anymore, the machine broke and they said it costs too much to fix it." everything felt that way, like they were trying to cut costs anyway they could. that's our last visit.

Another good visit. Friendly and attentive staff. Diverse menu (including healthy options). Abita beer selections! Overall it's a chain so if you're looking for local and charming get off the Boardwalk. This resaurant will please everyone in your party.

Typically go here for the happy hour in the lounge area with a group of friends. It has really good appetizers (crawfish bake and onion strings are phenomenal) and drinks which are all half off after 9pm. The service is somewhat good. Not amazing but good. As for the rest of the restaurant, it doesn't really stand out from other places.

  • Lily T.

This place was VERY meh. We were here as a family of four on a Sunday evening. Not very busy. The hostess barely looked up when we walked in, a second hostess came and the two argued about where to sit us in front of us (not a very good sign) finally sat us, and then we waited 5 minutes before we were greeted by our server. The food was pricey for what it was..I mean 7.95 for a piece of cheesecake? It was good, but not worth the 11.95-26.95 priceline. Bottom line, service was slow, and unfriendly from all facets of the staff, and food was only mediocre country style wannabe food that did not feel worth it's price tag.

We walked in, and immediately sat at the bar. Within a microsecond, you can tell that this joint is a tacky knockoff of the Cheesecake Factory. The menu offers oversized entrees, with nothing original. Being a Holiday weekend. I decided to bypass the restaurant section with all of the retired, stone faced gamblers, that most likely blew away their AARP membership dues, and we made a bee line to the bar. {Shocking, if you know me} We sat at the bar, and perused through the depressing drink list. Every f'n cocktail had some sort of low rent garbage Vodka, or liquor in it. I took a looksee at the top shelf. Tito's Vodka was the platinum choice. Uh, I think not. We ran. Never again. *Oh, and the five minutes we sat at the bar looking at their pathetic menu, not one employee acknowledged us. Not...a...one.

Long waits and terrible service could make this an unpleasant experience for you. Make sure you are with people you like to make up for it. In case you do not like your company then at least the food is good. If you are expecting service commensurate with the prices then just go anywhere else.

  • Matthew M.

Good location, terrible food and service. Waited an hour to get a table, once we did no silverware or napkins. Ordered a beer and took the waitress 15 min to tell me they were out and then never brought my follow up order. Ordered an appetizer and they didn't bring any plates. Fried fish platter wasn't good, sirloin steak was tough, and waitress never came to refill our drinks. I could understand some of this if they were busy, but we were 1 of 3 tables in our waitresses' section. Moral of the story - never going back.

We stopped here on our last day of vacation to have lunch before we hit the road back to Texas. It's a nice looking place on the Louisiana boardwalk by the magaritaville casino. We started with the crawfish and crab dip with artichoke hearts. The dip was hot and creamy when it came out with plenty of crawfish tails and bits of crab. We tore that and the garlic bread to pieces. It was perfect with a big scoop of dip and a little lemon juice. We both had the crispy chicken wrap, which we had to send back the first time because they forgot to put the avocado on them. The second time out they were really good. They have a peppery sauce and lots of veg in with the crispy chicken and the tortilla. We ended our meal with a slice of cheesecake with strawberries. It was one of the best cheesecakes I've had, creamy dreamy with three big strawberries and whipped cream. The crust had big chunks of pecan in it, which was different, and added a nice crunch to the bite. Overall we were pretty satisfied with our lunch. I don't know if I would come back again on vacation in Shreveport, but we were happy when we left.

Two words: Crawfish Ravioli. So good that I was googling a recipe as I ate. Our server, Jenna, was a rock star!

    (5)
  • Jennifer W.

I have to agree with the other reviews that say this place is overpriced. The food was good, but not "knock your socks off" good. I got the crawfish ravioli and they were tasty, and I paid for the dulce de leche/praline cheesecake that I split with a friend and those 2 things plus a soda brought my total to almost $30 at lunch. That seems a little ridiculous to me even if the food is good. To be more specific the crawfish ravioli was creamy and I'm pretty sure they toasted the ravioli which added a nice change of texture to the whole plate. Crawfish was fresh and had good flavor and the whole plate came together well. Got the dulce de leche and praline cheesecake on the NY Cheesecake instead of the chocolate. It was overly sweet though, I know pralines are sweet but it was so overwhelming it was hard to enjoy it and the cheesecake didn't taste homemade which was disappointing. Had the food been OMG AMAZING I wouldn't have minded as much, but it was only "good" the cheesecake was tasty, but I've had better. I don't know, just wasn't wow'd for the cost.

I'm giving 2 stars just because my dessert was great! We waited about 20 minutes and the seating was ample. However, after being seated it took 10 minutes for our drink order to be taken. I decided I wanted a specific dish and once we ordered, about 5 Minutes later the waitress said they were out of the dish. I re-ordered a burger & everyone else's food came out and mine came out about 15 minutes after everyone's! It took forever to get refills on our drinks. Our cheesecake was yummy, so I'll give yh that.

I'll never know...we were sat at a tiny two top and asked for a larger table but was told we'd have to wait five minutes. That's not a big deal; we decided to go to the bar and eat where there were menus and set ups but alas, no bartender. When I looked around to ask someone if there WAS a bartender, a lady who looked like she might've been somewhat important looked at us and kept walkin. (Basically like we weren't even there). At that point we decided to leave since they only gave us nine minutes to order brunch....oh well!! Thanks for the less than stellar customer service!!

This was an awful dining experience and a poor knock off of the Cheesecake Factory. I have nothing good to say about this place. I had dinner here with my family while visiting Shreveport last weekend. We were seated promptly, but it took too long for the server, who was completely disinterested in her job, to get to us. The restaurant had a weird smell and the menus were greasy with food stains on them. It then took a while for our cocktails to arrive, which were unmemorable and watered down. We did not have utensils or napkins on the table until we had to ask TWICE for them AFTER our food arrived. The server rarely returned to our table, much less offered refills on drinks, once we placed our order. The menu was very similar to Cheesecake Factory, except there were a large number of seafood options. I had the creamy crab cake app with the firecracker shrimp app, hubby had the cordon blue and in-laws shared the seafood platter. My crab cakes were small, too salty, the mushrooms/artichokes were overcooked and shriveled beyond recognition, the crab cake was mostly filler with barely a hint of crab and it was damn near inedible. The shrimp was supposed to be Asian themed and was more like an overly breaded buffalo flavored shrimp served on a sorry piece of wilted lettuce that was starting to turn brown. My in-laws said their seafood platter was served cold and they did not finish it. I tried to order dessert, but when the server finally came back to our table after a LONG absence, she said they were out of all of the cheesecake options that comprise the cheesecake trio. Overall, a truly terrible, overpriced dining experience and strongly recommend avoiding this restaurant until management makes significant improvements. I rarely give such poor reviews, but this place thoroughly deserves it. AVOID!!!

This place is a dump. Seats torn up in booths, decor rejected from the 70s. The coffee was so bitter it was undrinkable the desert we had was ok, we didn't get a dinner as it was a spur of the moment thing. Good thing to, as they seated us in an area where the waitress was on break. We were getting ready to leave when she finally arrived. A hot mess all around!

LOVE the food! But, I would totally come here just for a dessert. In particular, the Bananas Foster Cheeseake is one of my favorite desserts of ALL TIME, and definitely in the top two or three of non-chocolate type treats! OMG! Get the Bananas Foster Cheesecake! You can-NOT go wrong! it is also available at the Copeland's in Shreveport! Tha BEST!

It's no Cheesecake Factory, let's settle that up front. Food here is OK, nothing special, and nothing worth making a special trip for. Probably your safest bet at the LA Boardwalk. Service has been an issue nearly every time we go, yet we still go back. It's never the same problem, sometimes the hostess has no clue and other times our waiter. More often than not the hostess will tell you its going to be 30-45 minutes and you will be at a table in less than 5. Not sure why this would be a good idea, maybe trying to get you to the bar, but when I can see open tables and no one waiting I just get left wondering. Wish they had a better beer selection, but at least they will find you a bottle of Abita Amber, however you may have to ask for a glass. Could be 4 stars with some effort, better mgmt, and more consistent service.

My husband and I were visiting from out of town and wanted to try something different after our grandmother's funeral. It took 30 plus minutes before we received our food and I didn't like the fact that the entire kitchen staff was taking their lunch break in the bar area right next to us! I guess that's why our food came late. Overall experience was ok.

Always great food and great service!!! The shrimp Alfredo in the bread bowl is soo yummy!

We got a horrible table, the waitress brought me the wrong beer, and they didn't peel the shrimp. But otherwise it was fine... Order the crab, crawfish & artichoke dip and be happy. The pasta dishes looked good & tempting, but we ordered the salads and went away full, but unsatisfied.

Who cares if "it's a knockoff?" The food is great. The tuna wedge salad or catfish are fantastic. It has a great atmosphere, decent service, and full bar and lounge. It even has outside seating. Best place to eat at the boardwalk! They bring you a ton of food. You don't have room for the cheesecake.

Sterile and generic, and way too expensive for what you get. Our server was incredibly sweet, but that's all I can say about her. Food was mediocre, but filling. Big resounding "meh."

This place is terrible. They shouldn't even be allowed to have the Copelands name... After 2 hours no food.. We sat by the kitchen and noticed our food sitting there the majority of the time. After calling the manager over the only thing we were offered was fresh fries. We left with empty stomach and without paying a dime. We will never return

Probably one of the worst restaurants I've ever been to. Let me explain. Went here last night for my birthday, it was just me and the boyfriend on a Thursday night. We were told it was like Cheesecake Factory so I was hoping for some good cheesecake (I mean it's in the name of the restaurant!). First impression upon entering the restaurant: it smelled like old water and cleaner. As we walked up to the host stand, some guy was leaving work and yelled out "PEACE!" as he exited the restaurant. Okay... that was kind of unprofessional. We made a reservation but clearly it was not necessary bc the restaurant was pretty empty. Server's name was Jacque I think, and he recommended my bf to get the crawfish ravioli. I ordered the Ahi Tuna salad. My bf casually dropped that it was my bday and he seemed to acknowledge that he heard us but didn't say anything. Our food came and my salad tasted like it was made with mayo/cream dressing. Also it wasn't mixed greens as described in the menu, but cabbage. I asked the waiter about the dressing and if it was correct bc it was supposed to be wasabi vinaigrette. I've had a good share of sashimi/ahi tuna salads in my life and this just didn't pass as acceptable. It tasted completely wrong, and i only took one bite! Instead of taking my plate and investigating, he just brings me another cup of dressing, which is retarded, bc what am i supposed to do with another cup of dressing? Add it to my already dressed up salad? He didn't seem to know what to do with me. I said, "I'm sorry, I don't really send back food... but this doesn't taste like the right dressing, and this doesn't taste good at all." He looked confused and offended, and just took my plate without a word and walked away. Didn't ask if I wanted anything else, didn't try to remedy the situation. I lost my appetite, and for the remainder of the meal, he didn't say anything to us as he walked by to give us a box and the check. WOW. I also wanted to add that the crawfish ravioli was also overly creamed, and tasted like old fried batter. It seemed the place was filled with young workers who were poorly managed. Not to mention, it was my birthday and I was really sorry I wasted it on this jenky place. The bill was still close to $40! Outrageous for Lousiana prices and a crappy place at that! We didn't even bother with the cheesecake. I questioned whether I just had high standards going in, but I realize that the restaurant fails even in comparison with normal expectations. Definitely not returning.

Amazing food, large portions, super friendly staff. Crab & crawfish bake, best thing I've had in Shreveport/Bossier. Pricey but SO worth it!

Copeland's was recommended by many of the staff at the Horseshoe so the team and I decided to check this place out. My first impression was that it was a cheesecake factory rip off and was semi right. The menu was similar but did have a southern kick to it. I ordered the crab cakes which was really not that good but it looked like the rib eye steak and crawfish ravioli was delicious. I have to give this place a 3 star mainly because i ordered the wrong item and im pretty sure the other choices on the menu weren't that bad.

  • T. F.

I agree, this is heavily influenced by the Cheesecake Factory, but it's still good food and VERY good cheesecake! The menu also shows influence from the regular Copeland's menu, lots of Andouille sausage and spicy chicken. Two things make me take away a star: 1. The outdoor seating is not sufficiently shaded; the brutal summer sun literally bakes any idiot who decides to enjoy an afternoon on the patio. 2. The 1 or 2 person booths lack privacy. I feel like I am on display for the whole restaurant, as these booths are crescent-shaped and have the occupants face the other tables, not each other. But the servers have always been friendly and allowed me to make slight changes to the menu. Copeland's Cheesecake Bistro is worth a visit :)

  • Ashley D.

Pretty underwhelming Cheesecake Factory knock off...unreal how much it looks like a cheese cake factory. Food was not the greatest and desserts were pretty terrible for it to be a dessert restaurant. Service was great. Very clean restaurant, just not very good food.

    (2)
  • Elizabeth F.

The hostess was the absolute worst! She was rude and not at all interested in doing her job. Once you get past her though the restaurant is pretty good. The server was super fun and nice. We came in for dessert and were definitely pleased.

Cheesecake Factory with a southern twist. Definitely leaves you wanting to take a nap afterwards, the food is heavy! But delicious. Brings you back to the old adage about how enough butter can make anything amazing. Try the pumpkin pecan cheesecake... Incredible....

    (2)

We went a few months back. The food was nothing special considering the price. Service was slow. Our waiter was OK, but smelled like cigarette smoke. Just would not recommend. What made the experience terrible was the dessert that had a long hair in it that I discovered in my first bite...We wont ever be going back.

Nice environment, clean and contemporary. Had fresh fish with crabmeat for dinner. Overall good, but a tad salty. Extremely slow service. Funny: it is a cheesecake restaurant and it took roughly 30 minutes to get the sampler cheesecake dish we ordered.

Not...a...one.

nice restaurant fast friendly service classic new orleans decor. food was good but they should include a bread item with pasta dishes had to pay extra for a side of bread. i agree with chris s. the booth for two is awkwardly postioned facing all the other diners so when you look up you are looking at other diners. will get a better table next time. wife loved the cheesecake selection.

AVOID!!!

Long waits and terrible service could make this an unpleasant experience for you. Make sure you are with people you like to make up for it. In case you do not like your company then at least the food is good. If you are expecting service commensurate with the prices then just go anywhere else.

I went today for lunch and it was pretty good! I had the lump crab-shrimp-avocado salad. The salad was good - and huge! I didn't realize the lump crabmeat was fried, but they quickly replaced it with regular lump crabmeat.

Cheesecake Factory with a southern twist. Definitely leaves you wanting to take a nap afterwards, the food is heavy! But delicious. Brings you back to the old adage about how enough butter can make anything amazing. Try the pumpkin pecan cheesecake... Incredible....

Pretty underwhelming Cheesecake Factory knock off...unreal how much it looks like a cheese cake factory. Food was not the greatest and desserts were pretty terrible for it to be a dessert restaurant. Service was great. Very clean restaurant, just not very good food.

Not...a...one.

nice restaurant fast friendly service classic new orleans decor. food was good but they should include a bread item with pasta dishes had to pay extra for a side of bread. i agree with chris s. the booth for two is awkwardly postioned facing all the other diners so when you look up you are looking at other diners. will get a better table next time. wife loved the cheesecake selection.

I went today for lunch and it was pretty good! I had the lump crab-shrimp-avocado salad. The salad was good - and huge! I didn't realize the lump crabmeat was fried, but they quickly replaced it with regular lump crabmeat.

The Cheesecake is GREAT!! But the food for the price you pay for it leaves something to be desired. Loved the Flautas and the different Cheesecakes, but that was about it.

AVOID!!!

Long waits and terrible service could make this an unpleasant experience for you. Make sure you are with people you like to make up for it. In case you do not like your company then at least the food is good. If you are expecting service commensurate with the prices then just go anywhere else.
